Our Frequently Asked Questions About Purchasing Prescription Drugs From Canada!

Can you fill prescriptions from American doctors?

Yes, once our Canadian doctor has reviewed your “health profile” and approved your prescription under his/her Canadian license.

Are all American medications available?

Not all drugs available in the United States are available in Canada. We do not dispense drugs of abuse, narcotics, benzodiazepines, etc. At the American Drug Club, we promote the sale of maintenance drugs to treat diseases such as asthma, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, arthritis, cancer, etc.

What is the difference between American medication and Canadian medication?

There is no difference. Most medications purchased by American and Canadian pharmacies are manufactured by the same company. Although identical drugs may appear physically different, their therapeutic affects are the same.

I am a new customer, how do I get started?

It is a 3-step process.

   a) Go to the "Place An Order" page and select: "You are a NEW patient ordering prescription drugs."

   b) Fill in the electronic order form / Health Profile or print one out and fax it to us.

   c) Send us your American prescriptions by fax.

How long will my order take to process?

Please allow 10-14 business days for processing (doctor verification and pharmacy review) plus 7-10 days shipping of prescription items.

Why can Drug Club Physicians only write a prescription for a maximum of 3 months?

Due to regulations put into place by the FDA, American citizens are only allowed to import a maximum of 3 months worth of medication for personal use. Any amount above this 3-month limit is not considered "personal use".

Why are Drug Club prices so low?

Our prices are lower than drug prices in the U.S. because we use one of Canada’s largest Internet pharmacies to fill your orders. Additionally, the favorable Canadian to American Dollar value lowers you cost after exchange. For more information about why drug prices are lower in Canada, please click here.

Are there any hidden charges?

All fees are included in the listed Drug Club retail price. This retail price includes the doctor and pharmacist review fees. The only separate fee is the shipping cost.

What is the Physician and Pharmacist review fee for?

All prescriptions must be reviewed and made valid by a licensed Canadian Physician and pharmacist.

What is the difference between a Brand Name medication and a Generic medication?

A generic drug is a medication for which the original manufacturer has lost patent protection. The generic drug is the exact same medication as the original brand name drug, simply made by another company. Due to strict regulations on the generic drug industry, these drugs must provide the same therapeutic effect as the brand name drug. Do I get charged a shipping fee for every prescription?

You are charged one shipping fee per parcel, not per prescription. If all of your prescriptions fit in one parcel, you will be charged only one shipping fee. Our shipping charge is $14.99 .

Why is it cheaper for me to order a 90 day supply than a 30 day supply?

Each prescription contains a built in dispensing fee that is the same for a 30 day supply and a 90 day supply, thus saving you money when you buy a 90 day quantity.

Will you accept my insurance plan?

Unfortunately, the insurance plans are not set up to accept claims from a foreign pharmacy. You will be issued a receipt with your prescription that you may submit to your insurance company, but there are no guarantees whether you can be reimbursed or not.

Payments?

For your convenience we accept payment by credit card via Visa or MasterCard. Your bill will be in US funds charged by: American Drug Club.

What is Ann Arbor Drug Club's Return Policy?

"A pharmacist shall not accept for return to inventory any drug that has been previously dispensed"
Pharmaceutical Act Section 23(1) Return Medication (1)
